Japan-America Friendship Fest

oct 25th 11 am – 3pm

Global Studio Japan participants will represent the study abroad program and showcase their projects as part of this festival, which celebrates the Sister-Cities Newport, RI and Shimoda, Japan.

Open house 

Design collective will talk and show upcoming students the design lab and answers any concerns that students and parents may have.

Halloween party / Design club

Design club will be hosting a Halloween party where designers can come together to have fun while dress up in the halloween spirit. 

Senior Showcase

Graphic design students are able to showcase they work. this includes the three year of work while having a live audience to talk about there process and work in a more real world experience.

SASH

SASH is full day of thesis and capstone project presentations, panel discussions, exhibitions of design work. Graphic designer have the opportunity to dive into some research projects or show poster that they want to show to a live audience.

Bristol Christmas Festival

This festival is a way for graphic designers and number of design club members to have the experience of selling their work and having the real work experience of how a designer will show their work.

grant project

Five designers took on creating an overarching project titled Designing For Inclusion. These projects focused on exploring how design plays pivotal roles with accessibility, gender implications, and sustainability. Each project looked at problems within each area, and explored different approaches on how to fix these crucial issues. This would was field by each of their individual passions, that lead to this project being presented at the Popular Culture Association conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.  There, each student was able to present their work to others and participate in a question and answer afterwards.
